Best Friends

The rose created on this card was made using Susan's Garden Rose 1 die set.  You can go to Susan Tierney-Cockburn's Susan's Garden Club Facebook Page for instructions to create any of the flowers using her die sets and Flower Tool Kit.

To color the rose, I used a variety of colors of PanPastels, sponging and blending the colors.  To set the color, the petals were spritzed lightly with water, then shaped with Susan's Flower Tools. The rose was assembled using Kids Glue.

Use a piece of white card stock with Clear Double Sided Adhesive on top and die cut one Dandelion Fluff.  Peel off the protective covering and sprinkle on Antique Gold Silk Microfine Glitter.  Shine the glitter using your fingers.  Most of the long stem can  be cut off.

Use the Garden Notes Maidenhair Fern die set and die cut both sizes of fern  Shape with the Flower Tool Kit.

Use Joset's stamps from the Sentiments 1 and Sentiments 2 stamp sets for the sentiment.  Die cut the sentiments using the matching dies.

For the background in the frame, I used an old wood grain stamp to stamp, using VersaMark Ink, and clear embossed it.   Different shades of brown inks were used to color the background.

To create a frame, use the Dashing Rectangle die set and the Fitted Rectangle die set to die cut a frame.  Tape the Fitted Rectangle inside the Dashing Rectangle to die cut the frame.  Save the center rectangle to use on another project.  Use the Dotted Scallop die set to die cut a rectangle slightly larger than the frame.  Center the background in the center of the Dotted Scallop Rectangle.  Attach the die cut frame over the background.

Attach the sentiments in the upper right corner, inside the frame.

Attach the Maidenhair Fern, Dandelion Fluff, and the Rose in the lower left corner.

This is a 6-inch card.  For the background, attach a piece of the ModaScrape Gran Canyon design paper to the front.  Attach the decorated frame to the left side of the card.
